Disruptive capital for disruptive ideas. Can we make high margins and do we foresee high exit possibilities?

The investment objective of the Sub-Fund is to generate high income and achieve mid-term capital growth. The Sub-Fund will not have any leverage. Other than that, the Sub-Fund will not be subject to any investment restrictions, other than preserving investors capital.

“Challenger Impact High Income Fund I” will achieve its investment objective by investing its assets, directly, or indirectly through Special Purpose Vehicles, in non-listed securities of companies (“Target Companies”) operating predominantly throughout Europe and North America. The sectors to be considered by the Investment Manager include, amongst others; Target Companies which are in any way participating, active and/or engaged in the Information Technology industry with a specific focus on Biotechnology, HealthTech, Foodtech, MobilityTech, Information Security, Sports, Supply-chain Tech and data mining. The Investment Manager may consider taking either a majority or a minority stake in the Target Companies irrespective of their balance sheet size. Investment in Target Companies will be made predominantly through equity instruments, but may also be done via debt financing (Revenue Based Investments). The Target Companies may be startups, young companies or mature companies with proven business models that are looking for capital to expand or restructure their operations.

The Sub-Fund may also invest part of its assets in listed securities of SMEs on selected stock markets, including, but not limited to: Warsaw, Milan, London and Toronto. Experienced sector specialists focus on profitable, liquid mid cap companies with an established product portfolio as well as fast growing small cap companies with leading-edge technology offering. Stock selection is based on fundamental company analysis. The selection of the portfolio companies is entirely bottom up, independent of benchmark weightings.

In order to achieve its investment objective, the Sub-Fund may also invest in unlisted regulated collective investment schemes and is not expected to have any bias towards any specific industrial, geographic or other market sector. The Sub-Fund may also at any time hold such cash and securities for cash management purposes, pending investment in accordance with its Investment Policy and to meet operating expenses and redemption requests. Un-invested cash may be held on deposit in a bank account in the name of the Sub-Fund with an authorized and regulated credit institution.

Since particular investment decisions will depend upon opportunities available at the time, despite the fact that the Sub-Fund will always operate in accordance with the principle of risk spreading, it is not possible to estimate or predict what portion of the assets of the Sub-Fund will be allocated to any given underlying investment or asset class at any given time and the actual number of underlying investments may vary and may change materially over time, as determined by the Investment Manager at its sole discretion.
